Specific Health Checkups / Specific Health Guidance

Insured persons/dependents from age 40 to age 74 are provided with "Specific Health Checkups/Specific Health Guidance." The focus of the examination is on metabolic syndrome (visceral fat obesity), and its aim is the prevention/improvement of lifestyle-related diseases. If your examination indicates that you have metabolic syndrome, or pre-metabolic syndrome, a public health nurse or dietitian, etc., will provide you with advice on reviewing and improving your lifestyle.
Please undergo a Specific Health Checkup once each year to check the condition of your health and prevent lifestyle-related diseases.

For prevention of lifestyle-related diseases

To prevent lifestyle-related diseases, it is important to improve the lifestyles of people who have metabolic syndrome or pre-metabolic syndrome, which are deeply associated with the onset of illness.
Because of this, Specific Health Checkups/Specific Health Guidance are focused on metabolic syndrome, and include the following.

  1. Physical examination to identify individuals who require health guidance
  2. Health guidance to help individuals improve their lifestyles

It is a good opportunity for insured individuals/dependents to review their health and lifestyle, so please receive it proactively.

Post-examination Specific Health Guidance

Insured individuals/dependents age 40 or older undergo "healthcare guidance to prevent lifestyle-related diseases" that focuses on metabolic syndrome.
The risk of lifestyle-related disease is assessed based on the results of a comprehensive medical examination, and individuals to receive health guidance are divided into three levels. Physical examination and healthcare guidance data is continuously accumulated and stored. Using this data makes it possible to implement effective and efficient physical examinations and healthcare guidance.
You can use it not only to prevent illness and promote health, but also as an opportunity to create a healthy lifestyle.
