Death

"Funeral fees" are paid to surviving dependents upon the death of an insured person. If the insured person has no family or other people close to them, the person who carried out the funeral can apply to receive funeral fees within the scope of the actual amount used for the funeral. A "family funeral fee" will be paid to the insured person in the case of the death of a dependent family member.

Family funeral fee additional benefit ¥50,000 is paid

When the insured dies

If the insured person's family burials the insured person, a flat fee of ¥50,000 will be paid as the "burial fee."

When dependents die, a flat fee of ¥50,000 will be paid as a "family burial fee."

Procedure

Please fill in the "burial fee (cost) / additional payment application form" and submit it together with the necessary attachments. If the family you are claiming is not in dependents of the insured, please attach a copy of your family register to prove your family relationship with the insured. In case of "burial fee", please attach the receipt (original) of the burial cost and submit it. (Refer to the "Application forms" page for submission)
