Expiration of Rights

The right to receive health insurance benefits expires in "two years." Please be aware that when two years have passed from the base date for calculation of the period, you will no longer be able to receive benefits.

Expiration of Rights Related to Insurance Benefits

Illness and injury allowance,
birth allowance
Two years from the day after the day on which the individual became unable to work
Lump-sum birth/childcare benefit,
family member lump-sum birth/childcare benefit
Two years from the day after the day on which the individual gave birth
Burial fees,
family member burial fees
Two years from the day after the day on which the individual died
Medical treatment expenses Two years from the day after the day on which the patient paid the costs
High medical expenses Two years from the first day of the month after the month in which the individual was examined/treated (or the day after the day on which the payment was made if the out-of-pocket portion of the medical expenses was paid in or after the month in which the individual was examined/treated)
